Ali Ata – Breaking Down The Big Moves This Summer

In anticipation of the summer transfers in European football Ali Ata and I have been making our picks for which of the most rumored players will come and go this summer. We first have to deal with the Euros of course, which should have taken place last year. Once this is wrapped up however, there are a number of big players who may or may not be on the move once the summertime comes.

These are of course just speculative opinions, but here is who we think may be coming and going this year.

Harry Kane

Kane has all but admitted that his time is up at Spurs, where he has been for the last 16 years. Some still think that bringing Pochettino back may save his Spurs career, but there is just too much to do at the club to turn them into trophy winners. We fully expect Kane to be heading for the exit this year, and it will be a straight toss up between Manchester United and City as to where he goes. We believe that with money and a couple of players, City will be able to get the move done.

Jadon Sancho

Sancho has been rumored to come back to England for a while now, following his stint at Borussia Dortmund. We think that this will be another player on the move and Manchester United look to be leading the chase for the young man’s signature. The price will be upwards of £70 million, and that will be one of the first deals of the summer.

Raheem Sterling

Sterling has faced a tough time in the last season and all indicators are that he will be set to leave the club in the summer, but the question is where? City will be looking to free up funds for Kane, and we actually have a suspicion that Raheem may end up back at Liverpool during the summer, especially if they lose one of their big 3 players.

Erling Haaland

Haaland is undoubtedly one of the most exciting players in world football now, and he has a single year left on his contract and a £70 million buy-out clause. With this in mind, we expect Dortmund to look to move the Norwegian on, whilst they can still get some money for him. Given that the Spanish clubs seem to have little money, we expect him to either go to Juventus or perhaps even Chelsea, who are in desperate need of a striker at the moment.

Robert Lewandowski

Lewandowski is an absolute assassin in front of goal and he has just beaten Gerd Muller’s record for league goals in a single season. This however is one player who we do not expect to be on the move this summer. In all likelihood, we can expect a deal to be agreed for Haaland to come next year to Munich, and Lewandowski to leave next summer rather than this one.

What do you make of our picks?
